Minneapolis-based DJ Sovietpanda needed a logo of sorts that he could use to brand his various events with, but that wouldn’t seem like an corny stab at over-marketing. Hence, this very simple typographic treatment, evoking the idea of a record through it’s monochromatic circle and a very slight Soviet feel through its harsh angles and backwards “K,” without resorting to any overly-literal forms.

Also seen here is an adapted version of the icon used for his main dance night, Too Much Love.
