The Goldstein Museum of Design approached me in early 2006 to handle the various design duties for an ambitious upcoming exhibit that was to feature the work of four major fashion designers from the past century. While the Goldstein is generally a fairly progressively-minded institution, this particular project called for a more traditional aesthetic, visible in elements like the muted color palette, repeating shell pattern motif, and selection of typeface.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to take any photos of the exhibition while it was up, so some of the environmental context (wall color, artifact arrangement, etc.) is lost in the flat reproductions below.
